I wish it was a speedy 20 minute validation as at the 25 minute mark I'm still at:
(1/4): VALIDATING CLIENT : 50.4%
I only have one account with 3 Alts so nothing fancy. Luckily I started a 14 day skill train yesterday and should be good for June. |

At 59 minute mark the Client was validated and I've clicked the button to launch client. Left hand side of Launcher has cleared and the Gerbils in the processor appear to be sleeping on the job as CPU usage has flatlined. Three minutes later CPU activity is jumping up and down like a slow motion yo-yo. |

It took an hour to validate the client and hopefully the checksums have been saved to cache. At the 30 minute mark after hitting the button to start the client launch/login I have the two instances of launcher.exe but no CPU usage, I/O at a slow virtually non-existent dribble, etc. At what point do I declare this puppy dead? |

The logs can be found under the launcher/cache folder inside your EVE installation. The logs show nothing. In my case not quite true, I have an hour of file validations, followed by two lines of 'client validation plus SetClientUpToDate set True. The last line of the log file has Sending the following JavaScript code to the browser setPlayButtonEnabled 'Client is ready'. No further log entries for the next hour after trying to login. Log submitted in bug report but I suspect more log information is required. There was mention that there had been an update to instructions but I didn't see a link on the posting that said there had been an update/correction. Where are the instructions for creating a more detailed Log? |
